Logan, Stitch, Cycle Of Zen, Kudos - Rockers (Glasgow) – 26/03/2004

The second musicbymusic had a strong four band line up with Logan headlining the night after returning from their America adventure.

First to take the stage were Kudos, an excellent band with a very energetic front man and a drummer who had a heavy diverse style. From controlled accents on the snare drum to heavy double bass drum rhythms the drums compliment the bass to give a solid backbone to all of Kudos` songs, a great opening act for the night. Literally one minute after Kudos leaving the stage, Cycle Of Zen burst into their set. Technically brilliant songs that seemed to start at one place then do a full circle and get back to the beginning, somehow! No simple songs here and the guys even managed to keep their composure as one of the amps decided it didn’t want to play anymore. Check out the video.

Added to the bill at the last minute, musicbymusic favourites Stitch treated everyone at Rockers to a brilliant set. Ive seen Stitch many times and they seem to be able to pull off a good show no matter where they play, from small pubs to club venues you can be guaranteed a good show. Check out www.stitchthegroup.com to find out when the guys are playing next. Last but certainly not least, Logan took to the stage. A few changes have been made to the Logan line up with a second guitarist and a new drummer but from the tightness and confidence of all the members of the band you would be easily fooled into thinking these guys had played for years. There has been a lot of chat about Logan over various music websites so it was good to see the band play live, and they rocked! Logan played some excellent songs which shook Rockers foundations but they can also take it to a different level with Kenny taking the lead with some acoustic numbers. All in Logan capped off a great night with four excellent bands and hopefully Logan will get some good news from the record execs in the States.
